A lot of our clients are looking for smaller homes, whether its because of downsizing or a second home; and we have had a lot of requests for 2,000 square foot single story homes.

Covington Cottage is another great home plan from Southern Living that blends traditional elements with comfortable family living.  This home would fit great on one of our Park Place homesites, but is also flexible enough to work on other sites within Cumberland Harbour as well.

This home comes in just under 2,000 sq. ft. with three bedrooms, 2 full baths on one level.  We love the “keeping room” at the back of the home adjacent to the kitchen.  “Keeping rooms” are a small sitting area where family and friends can relax and “keep” the cook company while they are preparing their delicious dinner!

This home could easily have a back screened in porch added to it!

We love to shop local!  Deborah Cottle opened Cottle & Gunn which is a store that sells and does a little of everything.  They have a line of products made in Georgia, they sell furniture, and they even sell church pews!  Here is Debbie’s bio taken from hre website:

“From an early age I loved all things vintage. I loved to take old things and bring new life to them. While some women were collecting shoes and handbags, I was collecting furniture. A few years ago I fell in love with the little town of St. Marys, Georgia and couldn’t imagine a better place to call home and to raise my daughter ~ Little Cottle.

A chance meeting with another talented lady and a few months later Cottle and Gunn was born. Although Gunn has retired from the business, I’ve been happy to carry on what we started together.
