THE HISTORY OF OUR

OFFICE BUILDING  
When the building was built in 1982, it was the Georgia Power Company.  Residents of St. Marys were able to come downtown to turn power on or off as well as pay their monthly bills.  Hence the drive through area of the building was situated like a bank.
In 2018, Julie and Lloyd Streit, owners and brokers of Atlantic Salt Realty decided to take the plunge and bought the Georgia Power building.  They wanted to give it an entirely different look; make it look like it had been here much longer then the 1980’s.

It was truly a labor of love (and sweat) but they achieved what their vision was.  The building has limestone washed brick which gives it the antique look and with the outdoor lighting, at night, it resembles the beautiful old gas lighting of a bygone era!

As you can see from these pictures, there is plenty of natural light and we have beautiful views of the St. Marys River.  Grey-washed oak floors, built-in cabinetry and a kitchen/bar area completes a classic look.

This home plan has a nice width to fit into our Park Place Enclave as well as on a nature site with a big backyard.  It has a master and laundry room on the first floor but also has space for an elevator, if desired.  We like the large family room and eat-in kitchen.
