There are so many reasons to love living in Cumberland Harbour, one of the best is the connection to nature. The private community of Cumberland Harbour is situated on a maritime peninsula within a live oak forest, directly across from Cumberland Island National Seashore. Cumberland Island has many miles of trails that meander through the oak forests. Cumberland Harbour also has a trail system, many parks, gazebos, docks and picnic areas to enjoy nature. There are also plenty of opportunities to connect with neighbors, like the upcoming Seafood Festival, celebrating our seafood heritage in St. Marys, and also celebrating Cumberland Island National Seashore.

South Point Park

One of the most beautiful parks in Cumberland Harbour is South Point, located at the Southernmost tip of coastal Georgia. From the park, you can see over to Cumberland Island as well as Amelia Island. It’s a popular spot for fishing, kayaking, picnics and dolphin-watching.

The Meritta Cottage

Many of the homesites in Cumberland Harbour are nestled in the woods. This sweet cottage, designed by Eric Moser, allows connection with the natural world with a total of three unique porches. The living room opens onto both the front porch and also a side screened porch. There is a third porch that connects to the dining area.
