St. Marys, Georgia is a boat lover’s paradise!

You have your boat, fishing gear, food and drinks, now how do you get that boat into the water?  That’s easy!
St. Mary’s has several areas within the town where you can put your boat into the water.  There are two boat ramps downtown:  one on Wheeler Street and one on Meeting Street.
The Wheeler Street Boat Ramp was recently renovated.   It includes two 25′ lanes that were reconstructed at a more perpendicular angle to the river to facilitate launching vessels at a greater depth, a service dock and a 16′ x 16′ kayak dock and launch.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources maintains the boat ramp on Meeting Street which has two ramps and plenty of parking with restrooms.  You can see Cumberland Sound from this location.
Jacoby Development this past week signed a development agreement to build a mixed use project called Cumberland Inlet.
The entire project will encompass a marina village with a marina park/promenade, a kayak launch, an eco-agri-tourism park, a motor coach resort, a greenway (for bikes, pedestrians and golf carts), a multi-use area (condos, apartments, 55+, military, vacation rentals), lagoons and a rookery with walking trails.
Included in your Cumberland Harbour POA fees is boat/RV storage right at the entrance gate to the community.
